3 Adrenal Mocktail Recipes

3 Adrenal Mocktail Recipes

Your adrenals are the responsible for your cortisol (a steroid hormone), your metabolism, stress response, blood sugar, immune function and much more. Functioning adrenals are vital for your nervous system.

Supporting your adrenals will look different for everyone, but the core response is nutrients, movement and regulating stress. Adaptogenic herbs can be helpful during situations that are stressful but must be lived. Those herbs include -

  • Holy Basil
  • Rhodiola
  • Ashwagandha (can increase anxiety in some individuals)
  • Lemon Balm
  • Milky Oats
  • Astragalus

Replenishing minerals and vitamins is crucial for adrenal health. Herbal tea can be helpful, but unless you’re a practicing herbalist you most likely don’t have those herbs in your medicine cabinet.

The Adrenal Mocktail has become popular for its various minerals and the nourishing effect it has on the adrenals. Here are 3 different recipes for you to try!

The Basic One

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon quality salt
  • pinch of cream of tartar OR 1/2 cup coconut water
  • add to a quart jar and fill the rest of the way with water (room temperature water is best)

The Upgraded One

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon quality salt
  • 1/4 cup aloe vera
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • add to a quart jar and fill the rest of the way with water (room temperature water is best)

The Extra One

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice (or fruit juice of choice)
  • squeeze of lemon or lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon quality salt
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 teaspoon magnesium powder
  • add to quart jar and top with sparkling water

If you do have access to the above mentioned herbs, you can make 1 cup of tea and add it to your mocktail for additional benefits!

Get creative! As long as you have your 3 basics…

  • Vitamin C
  • Potassium
  • Sodium

…you can make your own recipes.

Enjoy your supported adrenals!
